Give Salma Hayek credit. Being the star of the soap opera "Teresa" may've made the Mexican-born actress muy popular south of the border, but when she hit Hollywood, it ducked. The thick-accented Latina struggled until director Robert Rodriguez gave her a shot in "Desperado." Not one to shy away from pain, Salma went on to star opposite Matthew Perry in "Fools Rush In."
